PÉRIODES

I studied Geography, Political Science and Communication Studies at the University of Münster for my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and in December 2014, I received my PhD from the same university. My thesis on "Worlding Cape Town by design - creative cityness, policy mobilities and urban governance in postapartheid Cape Town" was funded by the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes), supervised by Prof. Paul Reuber and Prof. Myriam Houssay-Holzschuch and awarded summa cum laude.

PRÉSENTATION

I am currently working as a Postdoc at Prodig, funded by LabEx DynamiTe in the working group "Circulation des modèles et hétérogénéité des développements” (covened by Elisabeth Peyroux and Thierry Sanjuan). My research is focussing on policy mobilities and new urban governance models in the sphere of urban safety and violence prevention in South Africa. While I conduct my research in English, I have also presented my work at local conferences in France (niveau de language francaise: B2).

ENSEIGNEMENTS

I am an affiliated researcher with the African Centre for Cities and the Department of Environmental and Geographical Science (both at the University of Cape Town).

AUTRES ACTIVITÉS

I am open to connecting with French researchers working on Southern Africa and working on joint multinational (North-South and South-South) research proposals and grant applications.
